The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Chassis APC is responsible for developing technical propositions that meet cost /weight /quality and timing targets set by the programme planning and strategy team. The successful applicant will be required to understand the requirements of new vehicle programmes and translate this into a Chassis proposal that respects our drive for commonality and efficiency in the Chassis Design and Development functions whilst delivering competitive / class leading products for our customers. Chassis APC typically hand programmes into mainstream Chassis engineering 3 years prior to production start (job 1).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS
1) 4 years’ experience of programme management of electro mechanical systems at the concept / delivery to production stages.
2) Complex problem resolution / balancing of requirements to deliver the best possible solution for the customer within cost and timing constraints.
3) People / negotiation skills to get the most of the extended Chassis / Product Development team.

Understanding of component / system design to deliver performance attributes and component Project Management Proven problem solving skills. Degree-level engineering qualification or equivalent. Experience of delivering projects in a technical environment. Ability to build and manage multiple relationships in complex stakeholder environment and drive issues to conclusion. Ability to communicate complex issues at Senior management clearly and concisely. IT Skills - Microsoft software skills, excel, power point, etc

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of vehicle systems and their interactions.
Knowledge of Chassis and suspension components and systems.
Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
