The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
"Platform lead and quality engineer support - Axle Systems Mechanical Integration (ASMI) Lead engineer role involves ensuring that ASMI delivers the project requirements for each gateway to the required quality and timing. Project requirements include axle performance, loads cascade, CAD hardpoints, CAD kinematic model, CAD clearance checks and axle system quality error states detection events. Successful candidate will be required to:- Attend all platform meetings with content applicable to ASMI, feed in ASMI deliverables and take away actions for the ASMI team. Liaise with all ASMI platform team to set out clear plans for the deliverables (including but not limited to design validation tests). Complete and coordinate delivery of tasks related to ASMI design validation and quality. Analyse vehicle suspension geometry virtual and measured data and draw conclusions on adherence to specification.

Skills Required:
3 KEY SKILLS Good working knowledge of chassis systems & understanding of suspension Kinematics & Compliance characteristics Good mathematical skills backed by a sound understanding of engineering principles and the ability to initiate and deliver technique and process improvements when required. Project management skills

Experience Required:
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Experience of project delivery to gateways in an automotive environment

Experience Preferred:
CAD experience (Catia V5), Multi Body Systems analysis experience (Adams/Simpack), statistical knowledge, understanding of axle system error states
