The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Research Role, working closely with the Research Team and the Chassis Technical Specialists.

The successful candidate will manage the throughput of projects from Concept to Implementation Readiness where the project is owned and delivered within the Chassis Function. In addition to this the successful candidate will also work closely with the Research team to ensure that projects transition smoothly from the Research Team at the Concept Readiness gateway into Chassis for progression though Implementation Readiness. The role requires a strong technical background preferably in electro mechanical systems coupled with experience of developing and delivering components and systems from concept to production readiness which have complex interactions across multiple vehicle systems. Development of existing / creation of new processes to ensure efficient delivery of class leading technologies will be a key part of the role. The main location is Gaydon, although site mobility is expected along with the possibility of international travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A good understanding of design and manufacturing content of Chassis systems.
* Highly motivated self-starter and good team player.
* Have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Have a positive approach to finding solutions with a 'can-do' attitude and be willing to question the 'norm'.
* Ability to analyse information/data and present recommendation/conclusions concisely and to a senior audience.
* Very strong capability to manage, motivate and drive engagement from a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to challenge design solutions effectively.
* Must be IT literate (Powerpoint, Excel, etc).
* Understanding of vehicle architecture particularly chassis components within the following systems:-
* Springs, Dampers & ARBs
* Sub-frames, powertrain mounting, suspension links and wheel ends
* Steering, Wheel & Tyres
* Brakes
* Ideally educated to degree level in Mechanical, Automotive or another related engineering discipline
