The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
To lead a project to investigate manufacturing variability issue in an engineering manufacturing environment.
The project will be expected to make extensive use of DMAIC methodology tools. Mini-tab analysis software - advanced competency.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Hands-on & significant DMAIC practical experience of implementing Six Sigma product/process improvement methodologies & trouble-shooting techniques within the following functions on cross vehicle programmes:
Manufacturing, Quality & Engineering.
Critical: Must be a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from a recognised/approved organisation.
Significant experience in at least one of the 3 functions (Manufacturing, Quality & Engineering )
Preference will be given to a candidate who has worked in all 3. Sector Background: Automotive, Yellow Goods, Aerospace or Defence industry.
BSc/MSc (or equivalent experience) in a mechanical / process engineering disciplines only.
Recognised Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
In addition to the other DMAIC tools & techniques, core competencies must be around:
5 Whys; Affinity Diagram; Analysis of Variance (ANOVA); Capability Indices/Process; Capability Studies; Cause & Effect (Ishikawa Diagrams); Control Charts; Design of Experiments (DOE); FMEA; Hypothesis Testing; Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)/Gauge R&R; Pareto Analysis; Regression Analysis; Statistical Analysis/SPC & Value Stream Mapping.
Established track record of successful delivery of Six Sigma based process improvements demonstrated in a portfolio of evidence.
