The Company:
We are currently looking for a Project Control & Delivery Engineer for one of our automotive clients in Essex.

The Role:
Control system aligned, project control, management and delivery of a fully validated and signed-off Powertrain Control System into a vehicle or platform application meeting all corporate, legal, program, timing, quality and cost objectives. Tasks · Lead, manage, coordinate and develop communication between other PCSE groups, EESE, PDI, FCSD, vehicle team and PCM supplier for PCM related items. · Lead development, documentation, deployment and continuous improvement of PTAE/PCSE best practices for process, methods and documentation relating to project control and delivery of specific Powertrain Control System. · Lead collation of program technical information for creation and issue of RFQ and creation and signature of TA/SoW with PCM supplier · Create, issue and maintain detailed project plan (to the generic PCSE format and aligned with the PCSE Master Program Tracking document · Set and ensure PCS requirements freeze dates are met · Create, update and control PCS program specific BoM · Organize and Lead PCS CPMT · Represent PCSE and support program at P/T PMT · Champion and lead 'Clean Green' process for specific PCS application(s) · Ensure all PCSE T&D requirements are captured (cpts, vehicles for HIL, rig and vehicles testing) and reflected in T&D. Support T&D mtgs etc · Coordinate FSU, production and all other releasing (WERS & IVS) activities for the program specific PCS · Lead communication of and ensure resolution of all PCS related issues identified during program up to and incl Job#1 · Manage e-tracker for the program and liaise with other eTracker owners (EESE etc) to ensure all issues relating to PCS are identified, captured, investigated and resolved · Lead set-up of and coordinate input and updates to POWER and FDVS for the PCS · Maintain and update control system specific e-room with up-to-date PCS specific / generic documentation. Lead development, roll-out and improvement of PCSE processes and methodologies relating to Project Control & Delivery · Manage and coordinate supplier delivery of correct level PCM h/w and s/w to match rig, vehicle and engine program expectations / requirements. · Coordinate interface with PCM supplier incl. issue of Formal program direction, DCR's, SIR's and raising and tracking of PCSE expenditure via CORA. · Track, control and report program specific expenditure (engineering resource and supplier engineering costs) · Lead creation and collation of data for Program specific PCS ESO 'evidence book' · Represent PCSE at launch reviews · Liaise with Homologation team · Manage approval of deviations · Manage approval of SREAs Deliverables · PCM RFQ with agreed SoW and signed TA · Generic program SRD · Updated program entries in PCSE Master Program List · PCS CPMT Agenda, minutes and assignments · eTracker · PTPRP including IRS · Lessons learned data base · Coordinate DVP&R (on FDVS) based on other engineers input · Program specific BoM · PCSE reqts on T&D · Detailed program plan aligned to 'Master LHS stub · PCSE CORA order requests · PCSE Program specific Sign-off document and evidence book · Program specific releases in WERS · PCS costs (engineering and tooling) · PCS calibration, validation and sign-off R&R

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Part of team/lead a team delivery of a large engineering project.
