The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:

Position Description: D7A Programme Management - Project Planner.
Reporting to the Project Manager on D7a.
Key Responsibilities include the management of issues, driving of issue resolution and tracking of the correct geometry in conjunction with cost reduction activities in support of virtual series.
The facilitation and progression of prototype and production component and tooling engineering releases (S, T and P releases) and the tracking of component maturity.
Location primarily will be Gaydon based, but will require working at other West Midlands sites required to support build events.

Skills Required:
Project Planning and Control skills are essential.
Full Driving license.

Skills Preferred:
Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high-pressure environment, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
An ability to assist in the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.
An ability to evaluate the progress of Quality, Cost, Functional and Timing status for all engineering areas.

Experience Required:
Experience of relevant components and systems and materials and production processes used in the manufacture of the components.
Experience of Product Change systems.
Knowledge of FPDS project management process.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience within Core Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Launch experience are desirable as is a good knowledge of product development processes.
Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery.

Education Required:
Be qualified to HND/degree level.
