The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This position is required to deliver the next generation electrical platform project. This project will research the key technologies associated with the next generation of ECU's, networks and operating systems to be used in the clients vehicles, specify projects to validate these technologies, engage with suppliers to deliver technical demonstrators and conduct testing to verify the technologies meet the clients needs. The candidate will be responsible for a number of specific projects which constitute part of the wider architecture study and will be delivering these projects according to the clients GTDS technology development process. There will be a strong focus on the incorporation of these technologies into upcoming vehicle programmes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate must have delivery skills in the following areas: Project management, Writing of technical specifications, dealing with external business partners in a commercial relationship, General research skills, dealing with internal or external business customers. The candidate should have technical skills in one or more of the following areas: Embedded programming, low level software design and test, software integration, Embedded linux, AutoSAR, High integrity embedded operating systems, software security, whole system digital security, ECU electronic design in including the integration and selection of microcontrollers, diagnostics design, middleware implementation and design, systems architecture, formal software or systems design, model based software development approaches.

Automotive network knowledge.
Experience of using software engineering or systems engineering tools and methods.
