The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Technician Engineer will be working within the Infotainment department of Electrical Engineering.

The candidate will be working within the Infotainment Systems Integration Team performing DV activities to ensure the system is signed-off for the end customer. In addition, you will be expected to work with the team to maintain the vehicle fleet to ensure all vehicles are meeting the required standards and have their regular safety checks carried out including the upkeep.

The candidate will be providing valuable design input into JLR's future product design and assisting with the Product Launch Process of some World Class Motor vehicles.

Additional responsibilities will also include the fitment and management of Data-loggers that will assist the team with data to resolve issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineers must have experience in Electrical System / Infotainment Testing in addition to experience with delivering car entertainment systems including television, mobile phone, Wi-Fi or RF broadcast also including FM and DAB would be of special interest.

Prior knowledge of automotive systems (Diagnostics) and processes (AIMS / Etrackers) are preferred.

Supplier and project management skills will be advantageous in this role.

Infotainment covers a wide range of current technology and the AIT process is used to delivery robustness to the end user. Therefore the candidate must have knowledge and experience in using Matlab, Simulink and Control Desk. (Knowledge of working in a DSpace environment would be a distinct advantage).

Previous experience in this area within an Automotive Background is required

Degree in related subject is desired

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of automotive electronics is desired, CAN, MOST, LIN, Ethernet is desirable but not essential for the role
