The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Responsible for leading / coordinating the activities of a small team of test engineers conducting rig based testing of NGI Navigation Systems. ¿ Testing to be conducted in accordance with specified DVP & DVMs to validate integration of Navigation software modules, feature functionality & comparability with NGI system platform & vehicle platforms; Role will require planning & coordinating, in conjunction with Navigation system team leads, the utilisation & configuration of multiple test rigs, test engineers & system software modules; ¿ Collation of test results, analysis of issues arising & documentation into designation issue management tool set (ClearQuest); Development & publication of weekly DV testing metrics to support management of DV project & report out to senior management"
Skills Required:

Ability to work effectively & pro-actively within a team environment; Knowledge of Automotive navigation systems advantageous; ¿ Ability to understand & implement DV testing strategies on rig based & vehicle environments; Ability to understand & interpret message sequence diagrams and DLT logs in order to identify failure modes and conduct analysis of failures; Knowledge & experience of analytical & problem solving techniques; Good communication skills (role will involve interfacing with internal teams, external supplier partners & management as required) Flexible approach to work and ability to deliver work at a professional level with a keen focus on delivery, accuracy & pace.

Experience Required:
Experienced in managing teams responsible for validation testing of complex automotive electronic systems. Working knowledge / experience with testing in a LINUX based environment advantageous; Experience in building / maintenance of automotive IVI test rigs desirable; "
Experience Preferred:

Education Required:
Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical subject.
