The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Deliver the quality targets for the D7U V81 (Infotainment) VFG ¿ Analysis of internal and external data including warranty data, roadside assist data, FMS, Customer Surveys & FTT / RFT data to develop projects to deliver containment and permanent corrective actions for identified issues Utilise problem solving tools to deliver robust countermeasures ¿ Ensure status for all responsible projects accurately maintained and updated in PAWS ¿ Ensure that all responsible current car AIMs are resolved within prescribed timing and changes are introduced robustly and efficiently. ¿ Ensure that forward model AIMs are raised for design embedded issues or where running change is not a feasible option. ¿ When required report out in various forums i.e. PIC review, LTIS Review, EST, FIFI Support VRT / Manufacturing colleagues as necessary with issue investigation, containment and PCA implementation Support change introduction (including line trials) within the plant"

Skills Required:
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems - essential. Capable of working in a reactive environment - essential. Ability to assimilate large quantities of data - essential. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks & projects - essential. Familiar with tools and techniques to ensure robust problem resolution - essential. Presentation skills - essential "

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of Solihull / JLR plant processes and systems - desirable ¿ Previous experience of vehicle launch or PVT - desirable ¿ Green Belt or Black Belt certified - desirable "

Experience Required:
Qualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline ¿ desirable

Experience Preferred:
JLR specific process knowledge ideally gained in Product Development environment.
Education Required:
It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline. However candidates with significant Electrical/vehicle experience will also be considered.
