The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My operator client is currently looking for a Project Engineer, ideally coming from and Electrical and Instrumentation background (E&I) to work on a 28/28 FIFO arrangement up to Barrow Island.

•Acts as the focal point and interface between the Construction Engineers and Home Office Engineering, supporting planning, coordination, engineering input and management of change of Barrow Island construction
•Ensures the effective application of processes, procedures, and specifications to maintain quality, schedule and productivity on Barrow Island during the construction phase with regards to the close-out of Requests For Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries (TQs). Responds to technical queries which can be answered by the Barrow Island construction team and coordinates other technical queries responses with engineering centres..
•Provides guidance to engineering centres on required priorities of outstanding engineering activities to support the construction schedule.
•Interfaces with the BWI Site Engineering Team who provides the engineering discipline-specific subject matter expertise to resolve technical matters, either on-site or by liaising with POC and other design centres in a timely manner.
•Focuses on the “what” that is constructed (the “how” and “when” being managed by the Construction Engineers).
•Contributes to contractor document reviews for as-built drawings and procedures.
•Provides technical input to supports construction completions and pre-commissioning/commissioning, including close out of ITRs (Inspection Test Records) and Punch Items.Advises project Contracts personnel on work scope demarcation issues and interface issues related to contractors.
•Effectively manages and controls engineering change.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quarantine (HSEQ)
•Supports the day-to-day interface with the Area Construction Engineers, providing a focus on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects.
•Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
•Participates in the site TSTO (Total Safety Task Observation), Step Back 5X5 and HIRC (Hazard Intervention and Reporting Card) processes.

Documentation Control
Supports the Project Manager to ensure effective project closeout, including documentation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree qualified engineer or equivalent experience; preferred Electrical / Instrument background
•5-10+ years site construction experience
•Current Australian working rights

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Competency in the use of common computer systems and software.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and an understanding of instrumentation construction management, sequencing and methodologies.
•Good knowledge of LNG construction.
•Well developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
