- We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Electrical Engineer Specialist to join the Project Management Team, which is responsible for capital project execution starting from FEED till commissioning, for widespread Saudi Aramco oil and gas operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Suitable candidates will formally design or study electrical modifications to oil processing and oil handling facilities, residences and utilities. Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget. You will be responsible for project development: preliminary engineering to detail designs, to construction, and the final safe turnover to the proponent. Manage general engineering services (GES) design contractor activities during the development of project proposals, including definition of project work scope and schedule requirements. Develop detailed estimates leading to funding appropriation and approval. Develop and prepare the contracting plan and strategy for solicitation, evaluation and award of contracts for detail engineering, procurement and construction. Manage contractor preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement, and/or construction bid packages. The engineer shall be familiar with NEC, IEEE, IEC and other international electrical standards, best practices and value practices. The candidate shall possess leadership, communication and negotiation skills to facilitate communication with employees and other departments by holding or attending meetings, preparing reports, and participating in task forces

Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will provide routine electrical support to refinery process plants that include, but are not limited to, refining, NGL and utilities plants. Provide routine electrical operation support to refinery in-house power generation and electrical distribution systems. Perform electrical system studies, such as system transients, dynamic modeling and load flow and reliability calculations. Prepare electrical design packages and specify materials to add new equipment or modify existing systems. Prepare scoping, review proposals and detailed designs and follow-up on execution of major projects. Develop operating and switching procedures for electrical equipment. Prepare annual and long-range operating plans and objectives. Be familiar with international procedures for projects phases, engineering phases, bidding procedures, procurement processes, construction requirements and up-to-date best practices. Experience in evaluating existing and new engineering designs for substations, switchgear, transmission lines and MCCs 480 V through 380 KV. Experience in applying and analyzing system simulation, and modeling of electrical distribution systems using computer software such as E-TAP and similar software. Be familiar with leading equipment manufacturers/vendors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION: A B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. An M.S. degree is preferred but is not essential.

EXPERIENCE: 15 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in projects related to the oil industry or similar process industry.
