The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This client's Special Operations Division operates as a nimble - business within a business - and is focused towards increasing profitability through leveraging our customers. Desire to personalize their vehicles. Key strategic elements include: Pushing the boundaries of the client's brands to provide customers with more premium & luxury vehicles. Developing a range of accessories to enhance the sporting and lifestyle attributes of our vehicle range. Enhancing the premium customer experience through vehicle personalisation and exclusivity. As a Programme & Launch Planner within, Special Operations Division you will be responsible for ensuring vehicle accessories are delivered to cost, time and quality targets. You will need to coordinate all necessary actions within the division working across functional areas such as engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales and marketing, as well as liaise with other divisions and external suppliers. You will need to support the resolution of cross-functional issues and report the programme status to senior management on a regular basis via a range of communication channels including project team meetings, gateway papers and night letters. Co-ordinate the PCS (GPDS) cycle plan Milestone deliverables. Co-ordinate all Project deliverables Be responsible for status reporting, Cost / Timing / Quality. Act as the programme conduit for unlocking roadblocks. Lead cross functional issues ensuring resolution. Ensure robust Planning Via best practice process tool adherence. Provide status reports to the wider stake holders via PSTs, deliverable summary's, gateway papers and night letters as required. Lead the on-going development and enhancement of Accessories Programme Management processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of programme management tools and methods. Good working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems e.g.. vehicle accessories, vehicle exteriors, vehicle interiors, vehicle electrical systems, electronics, chassis and powertrain. Good working knowledge of business case inputs, tools and calculations e.g. TFLE, PBT, IRR. Good working knowledge of engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of automotive products. Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions e.g. CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and coordinating a wide range of cross-functional work tasks. PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience of working in a technically biased programme management role.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of the client's product creation and programme management tools (PDLs, GPDS, PCS). Knowledge of project management systems used in automotive applications. Working knowledge of the client's issue tracking and release systems e.g.. BOM, AIMS, WERS Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly tooling methods and lead-times. Experience of working in a similar or technical role within the automotive industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery. It is anticipated candidates will be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.
