The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The SVO division operates as a nimble business within a business and is focused towards increasing profitability through leveraging our customers desire to personalize their vehicles. Key Responsibilities of this role as a Process Improvement Engineer include: Understand the key delivery processes that are causing most harm to the engineering team in terms of cost and time. Value stream map our existing processes. Benchmark core process, and those of other organisations. Re-engineer processes to achieve time, cost and resource reductions. Help the engineering team to concentrate on engineering not administration tasks. Present process improvement proposals to senior management for buy off. Implement and trial new business processes. Support other parts of the SVO Organisation in process improvement with a speedboat mentality. Support supplier business process improvements with STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) as required. Instil a TS19649 / 6 sigma / 5S mentality into the team Participate in the on-going development, Future strategy planning and enhancement of the SVO Programme Management processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High potential employees should match a high proportion of the following criteria: This role requires the individual to have an engineering background in a large or small organisation, and have the mentality to get things done, whilst maintaining the highest quality. Have significant experience of using BPR (Business Process Re-engineering) tools in an industrial/ commercial organisation. The intention is to eliminate all waste (time and cost) from the engineering delivery process such that we can reduce our development times. The individual will be required to understand our current processes and map them, to identify waste, propose delivery process improvements, implement them and drive change into the organisation. Experience in TS19649, Six Sigma and 5S would be useful. Qualified to degree level preferred, or HND or equivalent with significant experience. Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Primary skills required continued: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and coordinating a wide range of cross-functional work tasks. Self starting, self confident and self motivated individual that demonstrates initiative required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Full Driving licence, flexible with respect to travel PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). It is anticipated candidates will be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.
