The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
SVO are looking to hire a brakes hardware project leader who can take ownership delivery of brake hardware commodities to support SVO programmes. You will be involved in overall brake projects project delivery working with brake engineers and leading a small team of SVO chassis supporting engineers. You will work alongside brake engineering teams and in particular the SVO brakes attribute leader in delivering exciting new brake products for our high performance premium vehicles. You will be based at Gaydon reporting to the SVO Senior chassis engineering manager and work within the main brakes teams as the key contact for SVO brakes hardware engineering.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED 1. Proven experience of delivering chassis /brake projects 2. Chassis engineering knowledge and experience 3. Proven record of managing a small engineering team and excellent communication and presentation skills
Brakes and chassis engineering experience a considerable advantage, engineering delivery discipline and proven track record of engineering a product from concept to production launch critical.
Testing experience ideally within a brakes /vehicle testing environment would be benefical.
Engineering degree educated (although could consider no degree, if correct experience).
Experience of directing a small team of engineers (CAD and project/) would be desirable for this role.
You need to be a good communicator, work well in a team, be able to direct engineers when required and deliver technical presentations when required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Detailed brakes hardware delivery and engineering knowledge of the processes to deliver the hardware for a braking system.
