The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Responsibilities: ETO (Engineered to Order, previously Special Vehicles) are searching for an all round Process Engineer to come and join us on a very exciting journey, towards a world class leading facility producing performance flagship models. The workshop currently works on Armoured, Limited Editions, Bespoke, Royal & Diplomatic and Commercial vehicles. This role wil primarily focus on the introduction of an Armoured product and will require process engineering support for the workshop conversion and input with the supply base. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team and work on a very exciting enhancement to our product life cycle. The role will be centred around the development and introduction of new and modified processes associated with new and current model conversions and personalisation / bespoke options. This will include the development of appropriate jigs, fixtures, sub assembly areas and tooling all centred around the off track / off process repair and builds.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally educated to degree level in Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline
Previous experience of Process Planning in Off Track repair and Launch
A thorough understanding of Trim +Final process procedures
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate
Knowledge of and involvement in product launches
Knowledge of and involvement in the product development phase
Project management
Team Player and self-motivated.
Able to work within an established team of Workshop Technicians & Component Engineers
Problem solving skills and ability to use data to drive decision making.
A breadth of Process Engineering experience focusing on Lean manufacturing principles.
Understanding of any of the following: - WERS - GPDS / PLM - GPSAS -Industrial Engineering skills i.e. activity sampling
Candidates applying would ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering or Quality discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Particular emphasis will be placed on the following responsibilities:
Develop and implement all written Processes, Tooling, jigs and fixtures for workshop introductions supported by Team Leaders
Generate build process strategies for the workshop conversion
Co-ordinate process tooling supplier selection and vendor management.
Provide feasibility of all designs to suit the workshop manufacturing build requirements.
Involvement in DFMEAS & PFMEAS to ensure process Capability and manufacturing feasibility at the earliest opportunity
Ensure application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
Drive Quality Planning and Analysis for Workshop based Manufacturing.
Involvement in allocating the work through the development and monitoring of the teams objectives.
Ensure team adherence to i3 / Launch Readiness deliverables.
Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
Represent ETO Workshop interms of manufacturing feasibility at program meetings at all levels
