The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role involves working as part of a small team that review and benchmark all outsource component CAD & CAE activity to ensure Value For Money. The role involves the following:
Conduct complete analysis of component CAD & CAE activities i.e hours, cost, timing
Lead / support engineering discussions on component CAD & CAE requirements
Lead / support discussions with ODEC (Offshore engineering centre) team to assess capability & capacity related to specific component work
Lead / support cost discussions for the clients component suppliers
Lead / support strategic discussions eg. use of AVA etc and idea generation on efficiencies and best working practices.
Deliver all required administration, task management and planning.
You may be required to travel within and outside of the UK.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent negotiation skills.
Good analytic / numerical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, self-motivated and a passion for the role.
Cost management experience.
An intermediate knowledge level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience of of working with Tier 1 automotive suppliers
Knowledge of automotive component design
Previous experience of working in a team environment yet able to deliver excellent results with complete autonomy.
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Degree
Able to deliver excellent results whilst meeting tight deadlines.
A team player, totally flexible, committed and motivated to deliver in all circumstances especially within a small team environment.
Recent hands on experience of CAD ( Catia) and knowledge of AVA.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good Presentation Skills
Good organisational & prioritisation skills
Automotive Industry experience, Experience of the clients systems and processes
Should have a valid UK driving licence
