The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Manage the planning and delivery of key prototype build phases across all programmes, including: Act as the key interface between Prototype Operations and the Vehicle Programme Teams. Work with the Vehicle Engineering team to specify, plan and build vehicles for the COC teams. Ensure that each vehicle build programme is delivered on time & to the agreed quality levels. Co-ordinate vehicle build facility planning, process planning and resource planning. Provide leadership & co-ordinate between all other areas of Prototype Operations during planning and execution of the build. Lead the identification, resolution of all open issues ensuring appropriate ownership at each step. Lead a cross functional team during the vehicle build including management and resolution of all build issues. Ensure that delivery KPI targets are met and key customer targets achieved. Directly manage a team of build engineers including objective setting performance reviews. Provide status reports to the Programme teams via PSTs, Integrator and night letters as required. Lead the on-going development and enhancement of the Prototype Build and planning processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS; Able to demonstrate good project management experience and a track record of successful project delivery. Excellent communication and presentation skills PC literate, especially in MS office applications. The successful candidate should have the capability to drive and motivate the team to achieve results and continually implement process improvements. They should be determined to achieve deadlines and be pro-active in anticipating and preventing any build stopping issues. They will also need to ensure that the quality of the product is not compromised by the ability to achieve the timing plan.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Automotive and prototype experience preferred.
