The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
The Project Engineer (Flexible Products) is a key member of the SCV Installation PMT which is responsible for delivering the subsea systems in accordance with Q&HSE expectations.

• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,
• Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors to facilitate successful scope delivery,
• Ensure the installation contractor has a competent organisation and a high standard of resources in-place to successfully execute the work,
• Manage the contractor project execution performance and scope delivery,
• Manage the plan and facilities for in-country mobilization of necessary personnel and equipment
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of company Operating Management System (OMS)
• Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Management of Change,
• Promote conformance to requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build,
• Identification of deviations to Contract specifications, design codes and company ETPs
• Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through company processes such as TRAP’s, constructability reviews and FMECA’s,
• Will be delegation of authority for Project Engineering Team Lead as and when required.

Project Management

• Manage all the preparation work for the installation of the subsea flexible productions (production umbilical, SSIV umbilical, DEH riser cables). For this particular package the Project Engineer is responsible for:

• Delivery Area Focused:
• Managing the installation engineering and procedure development to assure timely delivery of approved procedures for mobilisation and execution of the works
• Readiness planning & co-ordination of Pre Startup Assurance Checklists prior to campaign execution.
• Support the offshore installation and testing of the flexible products
• Manage the flexible product integrity to ensure no latent defects are passed in to operations
• Managing the schedule for installation of the subsea products
• Managing and tracking of the execution costs including the assessment of contractor variations, invoices and deliverables
• Wider Project Team Focused:
• Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the production umbilical
• Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the SSIV control umbilical
• Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the DEH system
• Maintaining close contact with the Engineering Team to ensure timely approval of engineering queries, deviations and approval of contractor documents,
• Support the pre-commissioning and survey scopes for the flexible products
• Liaise with company teams responsible for delivery of the carousel systems, representing the installation team requirements, and supporting the project through resolution of TQs and NCRs, fabrication, assembly and FAT of carousel system components
• As a member of the SCV Installation PMT the project engineer will be required to support areas of delivery outside direct responsibility including:
• Building a competent SCV Installation PMT to deliver the complete scope
• Review of installation engineering and procedures outside of the package responsibility
• Supporting other team members to deliver their areas of responsibility
Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

• Exhibits understanding of company’s MPcp engineering and construction practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality,
• Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects,
• Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result,
• A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills,
• Financial and commercial awareness,
• Self-motivated,
• Computer literate,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree and professional status accreditation with a recognised institution
• A minimum of 5years subsea engineering and offshore installation experience
Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities
