The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Powertrain Advanced Product Creation Systems Engineering department is responsible for scoping future programmes and taking them through to the PCS PSC Gateway. They then Handover to the Powertrain System Engineering Teams who deliver through to the start of production. The PT APC PTSE department is specifically responsible for delivery of Cooling, Fuel, Exhaust and Intake systems through to the PSC Gateway.

Key responsibilities include; Establish system/component designs in line with Commodity Strategy, Requisite Standards and Programme Targets Maintain Assumptions and Cost/Weight Status Maintain Target brochure and secure agreement with all stakeholder parties Concur Assumptions/Cost/Weight with Core Engineering Teams and Cost Engineering Team through technical / project reviews Report overall status to APC PTSE Principal Engineer & Power Train Programme Leaders Concur Assumptions with Manufacturing (BOP) & Service Document and Concur Design Decisions Deliver Handover process at PSC with receiving PT-2 Core Engineering Team Determine (joint with Purchasing and PT-2 Team) and agree strategic sourcing direction and Investment and Piece Cost target for each Programme Agree Early Supplier Involvement and Work Plan pre PSC Establish CAE plan for validation of system performance pre PSC to support handover Support formal Commodity/System Sourcing to requisite timing

Additional Information :
• The Role is principally based in Coventry, but meeting support at other Midlands facilities will be required.
• Candidates must have a full driving license.
• Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding and experience of design of Automotive Systems, including design,
Advanced Quality Planning and implementation.
Fluent in use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Project.
Candidate must be Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands.
Experience of Automotive Power Train Systems Delivery, preferably from Programme Concept/Kick Off to production.
Working with and managing supplier responsibilities.
Candidate must be enthusiastic, with a positive approach with the ability to proactively communicate within and outside of the department.
If a candidate does not have the experience required but can demonstrate the primary skills required (as listed above) they will be considered.
Educated to Degree level, or equivalent, in a related Mechanical or Automotive discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of OEM Engineering Systems, especially WERS / AIMS / Digibuck and PCS.
Familiarity with advanced emissions systems for Diesel and Gasoline engine applications.
