The Company:
A Major midlands based OEM requires a project engineer on a contract basis.

The Role:
To work within a small team of engineers leading the design, delivery and validation of new fuel tanks into Production. Working with interfacing departments and suppliers to develop concept designs into viable volume production fuel tanks, ensuring compliance with all JLR Fuel System component strategies, design standards and all relevant safety and emissions legislation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of fuel tank design, function and manufacturing processes. Proven experience of engineering design and release activities. Experience of working with suppliers to deliver new products into production.

Excellent communication and planning skills. Proactive mindset. Good PC skills including Microsoft Office and MSProject.

Experience of Automotive Engineering and component delivery. Experience and proven record of Project Management. Experience of Ford WERS/AIMS systems is an advantage but not essential

Working knowledge of APQP processes Working knowledge of Company Product Development systems Full driving license

Ideally familiar with APQP/Launch readiness process, GPDS & supplier PSW deliverables
