The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working within a small team to develop a BMS (Battery Management System) to support the Catapult Energy Storage GTDS project. Co-create BMS specification documentation and validation methods for a Battery Management System. Designing, developing and validating BMS controller models. Project documentation and presentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrable ability to model and analyse dynamical systems using MATLAB and Simulink Strong mathematical skills An understanding of the engineering V & V process applicable to model-based design and software development
Modelling and Simulation of dynamic battery behaviour in Hybrid Vehicles Design and development of embedded control functions using Simulink Test harness creation and model validation using SIL, HIL and rig facilities.
Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject

Enthusiastic, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate initiative. An ability to manage multiple tasks. The organisation and drive to follow tasks through to a successful outcome. An ability to work independently or part of a team. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including a diplomatic and professional approach when dealing with customers ¿ both external and internal to the company. Ability to follow and/or implement processes
Design and development of control functions for Battery Management Systems using Matlab/Simulink/State Flow An understanding of battery cells and their associated chemistry Experience of DOORS requirements management tool desirable Knowledge of TargetLink is desirable
