The Role:
Our Client requires 2 Project Engineer's for Hartlepool Power station, One Electrical and One Mechanical.

Key responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in managing allocated work from assignment to close out.
Facilitate and chair meetings.
Arrange and/or conduct safety audits.
Arrange and conduct quality spot checks.
Comply with procedures and apply internal and external standards and procedures to project activities.
Carry out activities to ensure the project complies with the work management process.
Perform the duties of a nominated supervisor and approve contractor documents as delegated by the Project Manager.
Perform up front site surveys including liaising with designers and development lead.
Proof read and approve drawings.
Act as the point of contact for site related project issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential qualifications

HND / degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience required for this role

Demonstrate acceptable levels of competence in the areas of:
Knowledge of budget monitoring and commercial awareness.
Understanding the needs of quality
Knowledge of health and safety legislation including construction design management and health and safety at work act.
Awareness of internal and external standards of procedures.
Relevant experience within engineering / construction projects.
Experience of supervising and setting contractors to work.
Experience of leading a project team.
Strong understanding of the need for quality within the project environment.
Suitable industry experience of testing and commissioning activities.
