The Company:
Our client, a major international engineering & construction company, seeks expertise for projects in Atlantic Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
A career opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer with our client for the St. John’s office. A key part of this role will be working with the Project Team to execute major projects.

Responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring the project scope is clear and agreed among all stakeholders.
• Ensuring the baseline cost estimate and schedule reflect the scope.
• Acting as the single point of contact for issues. Manage technical issues with DRE(s) and DL(s).
• Steward to the scope, budget and schedule.
• Facilitating clarification meetings.
• Ensuring all technical issues associate with a modification or repair have been reviewed and accepted by the appropriate DRE (s).
• Review workpacks.
• Ensuring adherence to the client and their client's project management, change management and document management procedures and processes.
• Monitoring of costs and budgets.
• Monitoring of delivery status and progress.
• Monitoring and control of change management process.
• Customer relationships at project and delivery level.
• Reviewing and approving of project handover and close-out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Successful candidates should possess the following capabilities/experience:

• Engineering degree and be a Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• A minimum of 5 years’ of experience.
• Previous engineering and/or project management experience with a proven track record in delivering on schedule and budget.
• To communicate at all levels of both internal and client organization.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be self – starters who take ownership of tasks through to completion with success.
