The Company:
Our Client is a multi-discipline engineering design company providing design, procurement, project and construction management consultancy services.

The company is a flexible, responsive and pro-active business that has successfully delivered projects ranging from small-scale studies through to multi-million dollar new build programmes.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Senior Project Engineer to work on a FPSO new build project based on Teesside on a contract basis.

HSEManagement – Maintains HSE Focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements are included in the design and procurement.
Competency to lead and coordinate disciplines and relevant experience.
Client Relationships – Maintains and builds healthy client relationships.
Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Identifies documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements.
Ability to interface and negotiate with client and disciplines to achieve quality, cost and schedule goals for project
Commercial Management – Effectively manages assigned budgets
Scope Management – Complies with Project Management Process and requirements of the contract. Effectively change control process application.
Time Management – Contributes to the development of overall project schedule. Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule.
Cost Control – Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.
Quality management – Contributes to compliance with policies and procedures.
Team Management – Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieves objectives.
Client Relationship Management – Interfaces directly with client and addresses client needs and concerns.
Risk Management – Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
Design Management – Sets clear objectives for the design team including achieving productivity and budget targets. Ensures design team is aware of, and complying with client’s Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes. Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
Procurement/Subcontracts Management – Assesses procurement process through the project to ensure goods meet specification and are delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Discipline
Experienced Project Engineer.
Proven track record of FEED & detailed design.
Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills.
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (Professional Engineer preferred)
