The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
• To co-ordinate design teams across all disciplines ensuring management of internal and 3rd party design houses.
• Provide forecasts for completion & resource planning ensuring support for interviews & appraisals
• To approve documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project.
• To co-ordinate and chair design reviews & hazard reviews, supporting the CDM Coordinator in the enactment of their duties.
• To provide technical leadership of the design ensuring designs are checked for technical compliance.
• To provide technical support during tendering and scope clarification.
• To develop technical specification & loading requirements for Plant items such as CT’s, VT’s, Circuit Breakers, auxiliary supply boards and Protection & Control Equipment
• To identify and communicate technical change management issues, by controlling site query’s, customer comments, commissioning reports, lessons learnt, technical query’s and defect reports.
• Must offer a flexible approach to work tasks, will be prepared to work additional hours as projects may require to ensure delivery of successful design solutions.
• A full team player with ability to work within a multi-national, multi-cultural team.
• To mentor other team members as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HNC/HND in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Good team work, Analytical and communication skills
• Electricity supply industry experience, having worked in MV & LV Electrical installation Design
• Commercial acumen

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualification in Electrical Power Engineering.
