The Company:
A leading integrated services provider to the oil and gas, drilling, production and marine industries. From initial FEED studies through design, fabrication and construction to installation and commissioning.

A sound knowledge of industry standards, codes and specifications, existing procedures, methodologies and safe systems of work, are some of the key elements in the success of the implementation of their engineering and project management integrated services.

The Role:
Role is to take responsibility for the coordination and management of campaigned deliverables on any given platform drilling facility, including the non-client activities that could impact the campaign goals supporting the long term strategy for that particular installation. Deliverables will relate to modification, maintenance and upgrade scopes of work and range from conceptual stage through to implementation and close out. The Project Engineer is expected to demonstrate ownership of the projects relating to the drilling facility assigned to them, providing justification for proceeding with their proposed scopes, and actively managing each scope to improve cost & schedule. The Project Engineer shall lead and manage communication with relevant client personnel to ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress, issues and plans, including SHE Advisor, Planners (onshore & offshore), Facilities, Logistics, Materials, and Drilling Project Engineers.

• Identification and confirmation of project workscope.
• Preparation of proposal spreadsheets & supporting justification statements on behalf of client.
• Prepare Project Justification and Verification Evaluation on behalf of client.
• Prepare Cost Time Resource and issue to client for project approval.
• Identify resource levels and allocation requirements and provide input to project schedules.
• Lead support for project QHSE objectives, including periodic offshore visits during construction phase.
• Preparation and issue of documents and deliverables required to support implementation campaigns in line with agreed dates, driving improvement to schedule where possible.
• Active management and control of work in progress, cost reporting and cost control.
• Supervision and direction of engineering activities, and assisting with preparation of management of change deliverables, reports, specifications, schedules, studies, permits and designs for projects.
• Manage and lead weekly meetings with client to review status of project progress & commercial performance.
• Provision of Onshore Support for Offshore Engineering / Construction teams.
• Facilitate project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects.
• Coordination of sub-contractors and vendor liaison.
• Input to collective coordination of workload for discipline resources.
• Liaison with client focal point and departments within and Offshore.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant QA Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.

• Authorised to perform general project tasks on behalf of company or client.
• Authorised to liaise / interface with client, sub-contractors, vendors and Certifying Authority.
• Authorised to progress report on behalf of company and/or client.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• In lieu of foregoing, an HND Certificate, coupled with 5 years hands-on experience in design engineering environment or construction engineering environment or maintenance environment.
• In lieu of the foregoing, 15 years experience in a related supervisory or managerial role.
• Demonstrate awareness of drilling operations and a reasonable understanding of all disciplines likely to be encountered as Project Engineer for drilling facilities scopes
