The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
Project Engineer
Broad Roles and Responsibilities:

Define:
Confirm Scope Acceptance/Appraisal Document has been produced and approved.
Confirm Task Evaluation/ Scoping document has been produced and approved.
Ensure the check List Index Document (Including Close Out Checklist) is in place utilising Technical Support Officer.
Produce outline programme, cost profile, quality plan.

Design:
Agree Design Delivery Method/Timescales with Project Manager, Package Manager, Responsible Engineer and Engineering Manager.
Raise relevant design engagement documentation/funding as per discussions dictate.
Agree timescales with relevant design team and closely monitor progress against programme. “Drive the design team.”
Organise and attend any specific design progress meetings, produce and issue minutes.
Advise Package Manager of requirements from generic design support teams prior to progress meetings.
Review generic design support team minutes and respond to actions accordingly.
Ensure check List Index Document (Including Close Out Checklist) is kept up to date including status of drawings.
Monitor/updating all relevant costs/programme for this phase of the task.
Chase all relevant SDDR/MDDR actions.
Production and approval of all Material Master requirements.

Installation:
Writing and getting authorised PMP and associated documentation;
Raising and controlling Engineers Order requirements.
Monitoring/ taking action with regard to Target Completion Date (T.C.D.) and maintaining Close out checklist with regard to T.C.D. and dose tracking, advise Tech support officer of updated T.C.D. info to allow PMP tracker to be maintained.
Monitor/updating all relevant costs/programme for this phase of the task.
Advise Package Manager of requirements from Installation support teams prior to progress meetings.
Review Installation support minutes and respond to actions accordingly.
Ensure check List Index Document (Including Close Out Checklist) is kept up to date.
Monitor/updating all relevant costs/programme for this phase of the task.

Commissioning:
Review of commissioning report/resources in liaison with Package Manager/commissioning team to ensure programme end date can be maintained.
Monitor/updating all relevant costs/programme for this phase of the task.
Arrange for relevant support, advise Package Manager of requirements.
Ensure check List Index Document (Including Close Out Checklist) is kept up to date.
Chasing and closure of FOBs

Handover:
Monitoring close out activities in liaison with Project Engineer to ensure programme end date can be maintained.
Monitor/updating all relevant costs/programme for this phase of the task.

General:
Looking ahead on all programmes/cost profiles to ensure they are as accurate as possible.
Visit plant at very regular intervals.
Working in partnership with the Package Manager when problems are encountered.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have good previous experience as a Project Engineer in a nuclear environment.
Knowledge of Sellafield Limited Standards and Procedures is essential.
Security clearance- Basic Clearance is required.(P4 ideally)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
SC cleared - will need to undergo "SC" level clearance.
