The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Project Engineer for a 6 month opportunity based in West Houston.

The Role:
The Project Engineer is part of the Engineering team which is responsible for reviewing technical work undertaken by the Engineering Contractor and providing technical guidance and assurance for the project.

The Project Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager but will work closely with the other discipline engineers, operations / maintenance, construction & commissioning personnel and the Engineering Contractor in providing project engineering support.

The Project Engineer’s Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Establishing and managing the interface management requirements for the engineering team.
• Decision Champion for the Engineering team. This includes establishing and managing the decision management requirements for the engineering team.
• Risk Champion for the Engineering team. This includes managing risk management process.
• Proactively managing the ETP/STP implementation plan.
• Preparing for the EDR/PHSSER, including managing pre-read requirements and logistic requirements. Following the EDR/PHSSER, managing the closeout of the actions
• Development of Engineering Management Documentation such as Technology Plan, ETP Implementation Plan.
• Coordinating Criticality Assessments and TRL Assessments.
• Coordinating Integrity Management planning.
• Managing the closeout of process safety action items.
• Management of Change Champion. This includes managing the MOC requirements for the whole project team, not just engineering.
• Coordination of Basis of Design compilation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Risk Management Experience
• Reliability Management Experience
• Management of Change Experience
• 5 – 10 years project engineering experience
• Delivery focused
• Team player
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Reporting and presentation skills.
• Experience of working with a skilled multi-disciplinary team
• Experience of working on offshore projects (topsides and subsea).
• Working knowledge of ETPs
• Previous project work experience
• Inherently Safer Design experience
• Working within a skilled multidisciplinary team
• Experience of using appropriate industry standards, practices, design guidelines and regulations.
