The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer who will support the Field Area Manager in the integration of delivery to operations, of all the surface facilities South area; ensuring that HSSE, quality, schedule and operability requirements are met.

This role will require you to work closely with the Asset Project Engineers, Delivery Project Engineers and Functional Advisors to ensure that all approvals and stakeholder requirements are taken into account in the planning and execution of work. You will interface daily with Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.

As Project Engineer will support the Field Area Manager South in ensuring that all Execution phases of the South Upstream Project is delivered in accordance with company plans and ethos as well as HSE plans and objectives.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Constantly monitor and verify progress against the area integrated plan and highlighted areas that are delayed.
- Identify opportunities to improve the schedule by assessing critical interfaces between the delivery teams and functions
- Develop interface agreements to confirm the scope split and deliverable responsibility across the interface
- Coordinate the integrated readiness reviews for the South area aligning the requirements from the various delivery Project Managers

- Coordinate change requests in the area that covers or impacts more than one delivery stream and/or function

- Work closely with the Asset teams to prioritise work packages as they are released to the project

- Assist with the optimisation of resources in the South area to ensure that the integrated schedule is maintained, e.g. accommodation, fleet, logistics etc

- Assist with aligning the planned project activities with the control of work in the South area

- Identify gaps in delivery team responsibility and determine the appropriate ownership.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified
- Verifiable record in the successful development and delivery of a number of complex hydrocarbon gas projects both green-field and brown-field
- Excellent communications skills,

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Multidiscipline experience
- Sound understanding of the financial and commercial impact of project and engineering decisions on project performance
- Wide exposure of major project interfaces and solid understanding of the full range of interface issues
- Experience in the application of regulations and industry codes and standards
- Ability to interpret and use data from cost estimates, project schedules and risk analyses to assist in decision making
