The Company:
Our Client’s engineering division, has been a leader in the design of drilling facilities for offshore platforms worldwide for over 30 years. The company’s 700-strong workforce provides a range of engineering services from pre-project and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through detail design, construction support, hook-up and commissioning.

The Role:
(a) Responsible for the implementation of relevant actions to mitigate agreed risks to the agreed budget and reporting of same.
(b) Responsible for verifying the timely reconciliation of costs/hours to the project.
(c) Responsible for managing the Project to the satisfaction of the PM.
(d) Responsible for implementing the Project Strategy as defined by the PM.
(e) Responsible for identifying and verifying the timely deployment of the agreed resources by the Leads and Commercial Manager throughout the project.
(f) Responsible for supporting the Project Manager in defining the Project workscope, accurate estimates and where relevant challenge and agree input from disciplines and planning.
(g) Responsible for executing all project monitoring activities (i.e. Policing, Progress Meetings, etc) that ensures that the project workscope is executed in accordance with the agreed Processes and Procedures.
(h) Responsible for monitoring and verifying that the agreed cost of technical integrity is met and where relevant the timely raising of PCR’s to meet changes in TI scope.
(i) Responsible for monitoring and verifying that the agreed Project deliverables are delivered to schedule.
(j) Accountable for the timely delivery of Contract/TI compliant fabrications & materials from the Suppliers to the warehouse.
(k) Responsible for implementing the project control and reporting requirements as specified by the PM.
(l) Responsible for supporting the successful handover and closeout the Project to client/operations.
(m) Responsible for ensuring that Project File status is accurate and up to date (including closeout documentation).
(n) Responsible for supporting the documentation and feedback of project lessons learnt.
(o) Responsible for delivering relevant Engineering performance criteria (KPI’s) within the section and project.
(p) Responsible for ensuring that agreed Engineering Policies and Processes are implemented within the project.

Primary Responsibilities:
Safety
(a) Familiarise themselves with the Company Safety Policy and take all reasonable care to ensure the health and safety of themselves and persons likely to be affected by their acts or omissions, as required under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

Financial
(a) Implements the relevant actions to mitigate agreed risks to the agreed budget.
(b) Monitors and verifies that the agreed cost of technical integrity is met and where relevant the timely raising of PCR’s to meet changes in TI scope.

Business Development

Departmental Development
(a) Supports the documentation and feedback of project lessons learnt.

Systems and Processes
(a) Execute all project activities and ensure that the project workscope is executed in accordance with the agreed Processes and
Procedures.

People
(a) Delivers relevant Engineering performance criteria (KPI’s) within the section and project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant project experience
Must have drilling / offshore experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified
