The Role:
The Project Engineer will support the PM Draugen Core Projects in managing your assigned part of the core projects portfolio. The project engineer will influence, input and be involved in the project developments at the concept select phase, taking ownership of cost and schedule estimates and the project execution plans. Post concept select the project engineer will subsequently function as the project manager for assigned projects in the FEED and execution phase, being fully accountable for delivery of the of the project to agreed HSEQ targets, budget, and schedule.

DIMENSIONS: The project portfolio comprises a number of asset life time extension projects. The current portfolio is - Lift upgrade - HMI, VDU upgrade - Dewatering pump replacement - Autronica fire panel replacement - Control room upgrade - Condensate to fuel gas In addition there a number of opportunities in concept select where we have a project manager designate role.

As a Project Engineer, you will manage (or support the Project Manager with) the delivery of a project or major component of a large project.
This typically includes most, if not all of the following:
1. Involvement in the development of Project Execution Plans, ensuring that resources, organization, project schedule and contract strategies are appropriate.
2. Managing stakeholders and customer expectations.
3. Managing the FEED and Detailed Design Activities.
4. Ensuring that the project follows the mandatory project management system and assurance processes.
5. Ensuring strict adherence to project quality, health, safety, environmental, cost, and schedule guidelines.
6. Developing, managing and maintaining a project risk management register
7. Managing and communicating the project performance
8. Managing and overseeing the construction phase of the project
9. Close involvement with the commissioning aspects of the project execution phase
10. Liaising with the operations team to ensure that handover of systems is planned and managed efficiently and all documentation is in place to demonstrate that asset integrity has been established and enable final handover to operations. SPECIAL CHALLENGES: All projects are Brownfield modifications to an existing asset
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS 1. BS degree or equivalent in technical discipline. 2. 5 or more years in Project Engineering. 3. Demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality. 4. Project delivery experience in at least one of the aspects of EP project execution - design, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up. 5. Offshore project execution experience desirable 6. Good working knowledge of operational requirements and philosophies. 7. Previous working experience with Shell ORP or similar project development processes a plus 8. Experience in at least one contract management process (e.g. detailed design, construction, installation and, or procurement contracts). 9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders and other team members 10. Ability to communicate in Norwegian would be a significant advantage
