The Company:
A major Oil and Gas Operator is looking for a Project Engineer to work on a world scale project

The Role:
The Wheatstone LNG Project is a world-class green-field project which includes a LNG Plant (multiple LNG liquefaction trains, domestic gas plant, and significant infrastructure development including camps, site development, material offloading facilities, and jetty construction to support LNG shipping). The LNG Plant will be built on a mainland site near Onslow, on the coast of northwest Australia, using partial modularization. Engineering is being performed in Houston and Shanghai, with module yards in Malaysia and China. As a member of the Downstream Engineering Team, this position will support detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction work through the remainder of Phase 4. Position will serve as one of the company representatives in the EPC Contractor's office, and will be a member of a multi-functional project team responsible for supporting EPC execution of the onshore LNG plant facilities. Provide review of engineering deliverables produced by the LNG plant EPC contractor to ensure design meets project specifications, Basis of Design, FEED requirements and safety standards. Supports review and approval of facility system design configuration details, 3D plant model, data sheets & drawings and material requisitions for packaged units and mechanical equipment. Assists with resolution of HAZOP action items. Provides engineering support to Delivery Managers responsible for major procurement, fabrication and subcontract packages. Will provide interface between various groups on the project team (Engineering, Procurement, HES, Operations, Execution). Possess ability to establish direction, motivate, and drive decisions. Communication skills are critical. Must be able to coordinate multi-disciplinary input as well as interface with external stakeholders. Primary work location is EPC contractor office in central Houston. However, travel to project offices in Perth, Western Australia, supplier offices, module fabrication yards or plant site may be required. Some meetings and teleconferences may occur outside normal business hours due to international time zone differences.

Project: Downstream Project scope is an LNG downstream facility plannedin Australia. The project is currently in Phase 4 (Execution) with ongoing pre-investment activities. Travel: Business trips may be required to: Perth, plant site, module yards in China and Malaysia, Shanghai, and numerous Purchase Order locations in the United States, Canada and Europe

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degreed Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in facility engineering, construction, and/or operations. Experience with major oil, gas, or petrochemical facilities is required; major capital project execution experience is desirable. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills within a multi-cultural team environment. Should be knowledgeable in application of industry standards and codes (API, ASME, IEC, NEMA, ANSI, etc.).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in design contractor’s office as member of owner’s team highly desirable. Experience with Australian Codes desirable.
