The Company:
Our client is the largest gas producer in the Netherlands, with annual production of around 50 billion m³. 70 % of gas (37 billion m³) comes from the Groningen field and the rest from various smaller fields elsewhere on the mainland and in the North Sea (15 billion m³).

The Role:
Single point accountable for delivery of the Project or project element against agreed project metrics. Deliver best in class HSE performance both in planning and execution of the PROJECT. Key focus area will be ESSA to be able to deliver projects safer, with less people. The incumbent is expected to proactively contribute in this area. Accountabilities: Accountable for delivery of assigned work that may include part or all of the following but not be limited to:

Define Project execution strategies.
Effective use of functional matrix as well as Projects global project execution capacity.
Deliver project against the l Must Wins, championing cost control, project predictability and FEED/Execution excellence.
Display HSSE Leadership –
Help establish the Group Investment Proposal and manage the project budget within ceiling, raise and seek endorsement for any required GIP revisions.
To obtain budget approval in close liaison with the Business Opportunity Manager.
To execute Projects in accordance with the defined strategies;
To ensure that required facilities are designed and specified such that they will be manufactured, tested and constructed in a manner that assures safety, design integrity, reliability and operability with due respect for life cycle cost considerations.
To identify, prevent and/or eliminate potential or actual quality problems;
To exercise hands on scope control on projects;
To manage interfaces in areas under own responsibility;
To ensure that all project engineering support and advice meets the required safety and environmental standards.
To monitor the overall performance of contractors, against agreed KPI's.
Assist in managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure that there is alignment and support for the Final Investment Decision.
Implementation of effective Risk and Opportunity management process, integrated across different aspects of the project.
Teamworker
Work closely with the project services engineers to deliver the timely and correct progress reporting

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and qualifications required: Considerable experience in the E&P industry Demonstrable project management and delivery experience. Previous involvement in similar role/environment. Demonstrable experience with leadership of multidisciplinary teams. Experience on construction locations is preferred Proven commitment to delivering results within time and budget Sound understanding of business commercial aspects Hands on EPCM exposure or at least EPC management experience preferred. Effective communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure to maintain quality of work against tight time schedules. Demonstrable passion for HSE management both in design and execution. Must be familiar with the application of Shell project management practices like iPMS, ORP, DCAF and others.
