The Company:
Leading Nuclear Decommissioning Consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are a major supplier to the nuclear industry working on a variety of projects for different sites.

The Role:
The Project Engineer should have good leadership qualities, be highly motivated, well organised and capable of working within a closely knit team. The Project Engineer also needs to be able to respond well to the demands of working in the environment of a nuclear power plant

The ideal Project Engineer should have some experience of project management as this will assist in fulfilling the Jobs and Tasks role.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful Project Engineer should demonstrate acceptable levels of competence in the areas of:

• Relevant experience within engineering/construction projects. (Specific experience of electrical, generator or large rotating machinery projects would be an advantage).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including Construction Design Management and Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Awareness of internal and external standards & procedures.
• Experience of drafting project documentation such as Project Definition Documents, Project Quality Plans, Project Health and Safety Plans, Site Waste Management Plans
• Experience in developing risk logs and managing project risks.
• Experience of supervising and setting contractors/sub contractors work in their roles, and of leading a project team.
• Strong understanding of the need for Quality within the project environment including intent and appropriate application of Quality Assurance process and activities
• Suitable industr

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
In addition, the candidate should typically be HND/degree qualified in an appropriate discipline, well versed in the use of IT packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have suitable relevant Project experience. Membership of an appropriate professional institution would be advantageous.
