The Role:
• Reviews the completion of all technical scopes of work, specifications, drawings and data sheets necessary for the EPC bid packages. • Reviews the completion of the commercial elements of the EPC bid packages being prepared by the Business Management Team including: Commercial T & C, bid forms, commercial input to the EPC Bid Evaluation Plan, etc. • Assists in project execution planning. Seek out and apply best practices from other projects. Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from project planning and execution. Apply CPDEP and Capital Stewardship principles to ensure decision quality and superior project execution. • Participates in VIP workshops, including Value Engineering, Process Simplification, Process Optimization and Design to Capacity, Hookup & Commissioning Planning during FEED • Reviews designs and provides input to the Facilities Engineering Team to ensure Hookup, Commissioning and Start-Up activities are optimized. • Develops Project Completions Strategy, Execution Plan etc consistent with selected concept and contract strategy to minimize offshore work and project duration from yard completions to start-up. • Develops high level HUC activity durations and cost estimates in conjunction with Business Team. • Participates in Engineering Team HAZID ‘s etc • Provides recommendations to FEED Engineering Team to enhance the fabrication and offshore safety of the Facilities designs. • Adopts project IIF culture and proactively support team’s Safety Management Plans. Greater Longui Area (GLA) is a oil/condensate, gas and gas liquids project that will increase Block 0, Area B Liquids production and supply significant rich gas to the Sanha Gas Plant and Angola LNG plant. The project consists of two new offshore platforms - wellhead platform and a “hub” gathering and processing platform, pipelines and associated brownfield work at Sanha Condensate Complex. GLA encompasses the Longui field off the western coast of Angola. Chevron operates the concession and its partners include Sonangol, Total and ENI. The Project Engineer is responsible for the identification and development of Brownfield scope on Sanha facility and will provide leadership role in the integration of the new SAUX platform into the Sanha complex. The position will be responsible for facilitating the engineering contractor to focus on Brownfield related scope on Sanha Facility including: confirm shutdown and non shutdown (SIMOPS) scopes, enabling development of construction execution work packs for execution of the brownfield scope prior to full project installation, hook-up and commissioning activities, etc. The ability to demonstrate leadership qualities, work as part of a team & interact effectively with a variety of discipline leads is essential. Must be flexible, proactive, goal-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The Project Engineer Brownfield shall facilitate the development of documentation, identification of early procurement enabling alignment with Sanha turnaround timelines for shut-down related scope and accelerated completion of the non shut-down related scope prior to transportation and installation of the overall project Hook-up. Extensive interaction with Sanha and GLA Operations team, and Construction and Hook-up / completions group is necessary. Specific Attributes Project Experience: • 10+ years experience in delivery of packages and engineered product on major capital offshore upstream projects. • 3 to 5 years experience in successfully executing complex Brownfield projects, while ensuring accuracy of documentation. Delivered complex brownfield packages across multiple disciplines, such as: electrical, mechanical, structural, etc. • Effectively develop project execution plans and robust schedules, aligned with meeting or exceeding annual business plans. Technical Knowledge: • Worked with contractors to build, evaluate and approve PFD, MB, PID and process / mechanical datasheets. • Conducted / participated in safety assessment reviews such as HAZID and HAZOPS, etc. • Familiar with validating as-built process plant for advancing Brownfield engineering effort (laser survey) • Experience in managing SIMOPS across projects is essential, especially during brownfield modifications and planned shutdowns.
