The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering contractor and project integrator for the nuclear industry. They have been at the heart of the UK nuclear industry for more than 50 years. During that time they have designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned a wide range of nuclear equipment and plant for both the power generation and defence markets.

The Role:
To provide project engineering expertise in support of Technical Projects, either generated by the Job Holder, or assigned by the Engineering Manager Department management and to deliver the end product in a cost effective and timely manner.

Specific Competencies

KEY DUTIES
Acting as interface between Engineering and Site.
Provision of advice on technical / engineering / temporary works with regard to site implementation.
Carrying out deisng review compliance.
Control of subcontractors for temporary works.
Identifying any issues .
Approve calculations and designs.
Write reports and technical documents.
Check/review reports and technical documents.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To provide expertise and support of the Group's activities.
To initiate and run as Project Engineer on one or more major projects (or a number of minor projects) to meet internal and external customers timescales and to complete the work within the contract allowance.
To adhere to company procedures and systems (including quality, safety, environment, administration, security) and to contribute to the improvement of such procedures where they can enhance performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
HNC or equivalent in relevant subject.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in relevant Science or Engineering discipline and Chartered Member of Institution.P4 Pass – Nuclear experienced
Significant and appropriate experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
P4 pass
