They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
Our client currently has an overseas assignment opportunity for a Project Engineer from April 2014 for a role in Sharjah, UAE. The assignment will involve twelve to fifteen months in this EPC Contractor's office in a PMC role, and you will be responsible for policing engineering design deliverables by Contractor and guiding Owner on technical issues.

The role will be working on the Clean Fuel Project (CFP) which comprises the upgrade of two existing refineries. The Clean Fuels Project is a major upgrade and expansion of the existing Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) refineries. The objective is to increase the overall throughput by 264,000 bpsd to 800,000 bpsd and to increase conversion of fuel oil to higher value products to meet expected market demand and specs for low sulphur content transport fuels.

Responsibilities
• Production of Project Engineering deliverables
• Co-ordination of technical scope across all disciplines in a multinational environment
• Multi-centre execution interface and data management/coordination requirements
• Preparation of ITB's and Subcontracts

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Degree qualified and (preferably) chartered in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Project Engineering execution experience in petrochemical or similar related industry, preferably including construction site experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Contracts
• Self motivation, a proactive outlook and with good communication skills
• Ability to deal with senior discipline representatives in the co-ordination of their work
• Ability to engage in effective dealings with both Client/Owner and detail design Contractors
• Ability to work with technical strength but with the minimum of supervision
