The Company:
A major Oil & Gas Operator with extensive projects in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Project Engineer (Infrastructure) for an Oil & Gas Client in Kazakhstan

Duration: 12 months rolling contract
Location: Atyrau with some time spent in Tengiz
Rotation: 6x2 potentially transferring to 28/28
Day Rate: Negotiable
Accommodation/Flights/living allowances - Provided

Infrastructure Works
Open position(s) for experienced Project Engineer to provide oversight and technical support for development of engineering, procurement and contract bid packages infrastructure facilities including but not limited to Construction Compound (civil and UG, modular/steel framed buildings), Facilities Buildings (steel framed buildings), and Tie-ins to support main works construction.

Job Description / Scope of Work
Provides oversight and technical support for the completion by EPCM contractor of all technical scopes of work, specifications, drawings and data sheets necessary for the EPC bid packages.
Coordinates reviews of engineering documents and drawings produced by EPCM contractor and by company specialists with follow-up to ensure timely responses.
Facilitates decision making and helps formulate company position on queries presented by EPCM contractor
Promote safety culture and is cognizant of the importance of implementing Safety in Design criteria and specifications
Attends weekly progress meetings for Infrastructure scopes of work (e.g. Construction Compound, Facilities Buildings, Tie-ins/OSBL electrical)
Attends weekly meetings for tie-ins and OSBL electrical scope of work
Ensure land allocation, permitting and all RA activities are executed in time to support the project schedule
Manages the interface between Base Business and EPCM
Attends weekly procurement review meetings to ensure ETA dates are in line with the schedule
Facilitates review of project documents and drawings by Base Business and ensures timely responses
Communicates with key stakeholders on progress and escalates unresolved issues to senior management
Monitors progress, attends schedule reviews, comments on schedule development, duration and sequence and logic links
Attends design reviews
Preparation & follow-up of RFIs, Input & Approval (I&A), and Project Management of Change (PMOC) documents
Attends bid clarification meetings, reviews contractor queries and responses to contractors
Reviews RFP packages, proposals from bidders and participates in Technical Bid Evaluation
Reviews all contracting process documents, such as supplier questionnaire, evaluation of bidders responses to SQQ and participates in short listing of bidders
Reviews SOW documents and ensure it reflects agreed scope

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HND or Equivalent

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree
