The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer based in Karratha on a 12 month contract.

The position is responsible for the management and coordination of multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner. You will act as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client’s expectations are satisfied whilst ensuring the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.

Key responsibilities includes:
• HSE Management
• Establish, maintain and build healthy client relationships.
• Proactively resolve performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.
• Identify, document, communicate and meet the client’s requirements
• Effectively manage assigned budgets within the total scope.
• Ensure compliance with requirements of the contract.
• Apply effective change control process.
• Contribute to the development of overall project schedule.
• Supervise work in accordance with the approved schedule
• Cost Control - Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.
• Contribute to compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.
• Risk Management - Monitor the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
• Design Management - Set clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.Ensure the design team aware of, and complies with, client’s Basis of Design and apply regulations and codes and manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
• Procurement/Subcontracts Management - Assess procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and proven experience in leading a discipline design group
• Approximately, 5 years minimum industry experience.
• A recognised degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent qualification/experience
• Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet the client’s needs.
• Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment, and assists others with adapting to change.
• Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
• Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
• Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams, and share and transfer knowledge within

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Professional Engineer Status
