The Role:
The position will be based in Gladstone with some travel to Brisbane as well as domestic and international visits to vendor shops.

The position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring field engineering & construction compliance with the agreed design, and engineering interfaces with other project functions including HSE / permitting, QA, construction, installation, and start-up / operations.

• Responsible for ensuring that all facilities related to process units inside battery limits, are built & installed in accordance with the agreed project specifications.
• Plan for and support the transition from construction to start-up and operations.
• Communication between the downstream engineering team (Brisbane), the site construction team (Gladstone), and the EPC contractor
• Participate in the relevant Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) by coordinating its operation, and providing Project Engineering support as needed.
• Ensures that all project documentation is per the contract, and that any techncial queries, non-conformances and deviation requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Assist in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up activities as agreed with the Commissioning team.
• Identifies and highlights to Supervisor any deviations from the agreed project premises or principles.
• Functions as a key project team contributor
• Supports Engineering and Project Management on technical issue
Ensures compliance with, all EIS and permit conditions applicable to area of functional responsibility.
• May also be assigned to work in other functional areas, e.g. facilities commissioning, construction coordination, or operations interface coordination.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of international oil / gas, or large capital project experience.
• Degree in engineering discipline, preferably Process or Mechanical,
• Experience of being interface between Client and EPC
• Open and available for relocation to Gladstone
