The Role:
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the development and compliance of the change control process onsite for the construction of the Port facility. Experience with definition, execution of modifications and small projects for operational readiness activities will be an asset.
Expertise must include:
• Previous experience in operations of bulk materials handling facilities, preferably with fertilizers such as potash.
• Previous experience with large operational development projects (Greenfield Preferred)
• Previous experience with shipping terminals

Core Responsibilities:
• Ensure conformance with the Client's Engineering excellence, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations.
• Responsible for oversight of the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation standards, specifications, procedures and drawings for which the Port Facility is designed, built, operated and maintained
• This lead technical function covers Engineering Technical support, Engineering Modifications, and Engineering Standards & Change Control as the Port facilities are established and transitioned to Operations and must engage with other Engineering Functions within Asset or CSG to ensure the application of common standards
• Responsible for the development and compliance of the change control process for the Port facilities including the definition and monitoring of modifications
• Assist client’s Site Representative with on-site duties and role as point contact with Port facilities group
• Operations input into Design. Be the champion of operations input into design at the site level by coordinating input from the operations group, providing technical operations input into relevant aspects of design during latter part of definition and into execution phase
• Operations input into Quality Assurance. Be a champion of operations input into EPCM’s Quality Assurance program including, QA reviews with EPCM & walk-downs on contractors handover for mechanical completion and contribute to non-conformance register
• Interface for documentation. This function will be the interface for any documents to be received from the Project team as the Port is commissioned and handed over to Operations
• Operations input in commissioning. Be a champion of operations for input and development of transition processes from dry commissioning to wet commissioning and handover to operations
• Be a safety leader, role model and provide a governance function that is linked to the safe performance during the project execution, transition to and during operations ramp up of the Port
• Gain knowledge in engineering of equipment during installation
• Review installation during construction re Prevention Through Design and identify any significant HSE noncompliance’s that require migration pre-operations start-up
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical
Skills:
• Proficient in drafting using AutoCAD, and carrying out statistical analysis using various reliability software and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English
• E.g. technical abilities, knowledge, language, etc.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous experience in operations of bulk materials handling facilities, preferably with fertilizers such as potash.
• Previous experience with large operational development projects (Greenfield Preferred)
• Previous experience with shipping terminals
