The Company:
Our Client's fabrication capabilities providing quality fabrication, site services, and vessel mobilisations to the Subsea and Marine Industries
The site offers large undercover fabrication and painting halls, external fabrication capability and quayside frontage.
The company also offer project management and design capabilities.
The group can now provide a complete service from project management, design, procurement, fabrication, commissioning and testing through to loadout and delivery.

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit either an experienced Project Engineer or a Project Manager to strengthen their existing project team.

Role Responsibilities:
 To work in accordance with company procedures, policies and standard working practices
 Ensure contractual obligations and schedules are met
 Ensure projects are executed in a professional and ethical manner
 Assist the Project Manager to optimise project revenue, margin and resources
 Build professional and productive relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers Key Tasks
 Ensure full compliance with company procedures and Statutory Regulations.
 Review and understand project drawings, documentation etc.
 Raise Technical Queries, Concession Requests etc as required.
 Undertake Material Take Offs and order materials, equipment etc in line with project requirements / schedule.
 Clearly define the scope of work and budget for all departments and third party suppliers to ensure that they are aware of the workload expected and are capable of meeting the defined project milestones.
 Coordinate and motivate project resources, other departments and third party suppliers to ensure objectives and schedules are met in a safe and effective manner.
 Consistently promote acceptable standards of conduct and work performance for all company and third party personnel working on the project.
 Ensure adequate resources are provided in a timely manner to suit project requirements, highlighting any shortfalls to the Project Manager at the earliest opportunity.
 Highlight all additional work to the Project Manager so a Variation Order Request can be submitted in a timely manner.
 Highlight problems, delays etc to the Project Manager at the earliest opportunity so appropriate remedial action and be identified and implemented.
 Provide concise and accurate reports as required.
 Ensure all company documents are checked and approved prior to submission to the client.
 Evaluate project performance; identifying best practice and areas for improvement.
 Support the Proposals Department to secure projects as and when required.
 Perform tasks as required by the Project Manager / Projects Director.
 Promote excellent working relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers.

Key Measures
 Projects are completed in a safe, effective and timely manner in line with contractual requirements
 Excellent working relationships are developed and maintained with clients, colleagues and suppliers
 Project delivers the expected level of revenue and margin

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience as a Project Engineer/Manager in the fabrication industry
Able to read and understand contracts
Able to read and understand fabrication drawings and undertake material take offs
IT literate including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
