The Company:
Our client, a major Owner/Operator, seeks a Mechanical Engineer for their Tailings & Infrastructure Project Group.

The Role:
Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure “Fit for Purpose” solutions are implemented according to Shell processes/ practises
• Leading activities for the development and implementation of assigned projects within the Tailings&Infrastructure projects group
• Ensuring quality of projects deliverables such as Front end development, Engineering design, scheduling, costs etc.
• Guiding and controlling engineering contractor within assigned project
• Coordinating with other groups to ensure successful project execution, and issues are resolved expediently
• Cost Management for Assigned projects, both Pre-FID, and Capital
• Operations and maintenance integration into the design
• Applying HSE policies and standards
• Remain goal oriented while managing multiple simultaneous projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Engineering- Mechanical (other disciplines considered)
• CSTS or PSTS
• WHMIS
• OSSA Orientation
• OSSA-Accredited Confined Space
• OSSA-Accredited Fall Protection

• Min 7 years experience in Mineral Processing/ mining/ Heavy Industry environment
• 5+ years project/construction environment ‘Brownfields’ site
• Experience with leading front end development, engineering and project management within multi discipline projects
• “Can Do” attitude
• Ability to work independently to solve issues
• positive attitude to promote safety and environmental awareness in the workplace.
• work in a team environment towards promoting the interest of the employer.
• perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment, accustomed to meeting tight schedules.
• Project management
• Experience with EPCM
• Familiarity with project management systems
• PMP status would be considered favourable
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written skills)
• Valid Driver’
