The Company:
Our client’s scope of work includes project support, core operations and maintenance and shutdown support for a mixture of manned and unmanned offshore assets, as well as onshore gas terminals.

The Role:
Project Engineer with Mechanical / Piping bias.

Purpose / Role:
To assist in managing delivery of workscope in applicable engineering and detailed design, procurement, project services and construction related activities for brownfield scopes.
Provide a cost effective and timely execution of the workscopes for the client.

Key aims and objectives:
To contribute fully to the project management team delivering projects to a new or existing client.

Prime responsibilities and duties:
Provide input to the establishment of the project execution plan. To include definition on project objectives and strategies, work scope, risk management, overall work plan and schedule, commercial plan, quality and safety requirements etc., consistent with the terms of the respective Contract and client project execution plan mandatory contents.
The administering of the contract agreements between client and its subcontractors whereby all interests are protected and costs are managed.
The maintaining of close contact with respective Clients throughout the project to ensure satisfactory reaction to Client’s needs or criticisms.
The monitoring and control of project performance against budget, schedule, and quality and safety requirements using appropriate control tools and reporting of same to Management and Client.
The identification of changes in the scope of work and ensuring that appropriate change requests are current and adequate.
Managing multi-discipline engineering teams in the delivery of work scopes through regular progress meeting and by facilitation where multi-discipline issues require discussion a resolution.
The promotion of quality and safety on the project.
The issuing of directions for job close-out and the securing of the final project acceptance and contract release from client.
Offshore implementation readiness activities ensuring that workpacks, materials and the appropriate workforce are in place to execute the work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechancical/Piping background.
A broad knowledge of multidiscipline offshore engineering.
Experience in offshore brownfield environment, either with an operator or with E&C contractor providing direct engineering support to an operating offshore production platform.
