The Company:
Our Client is a Major O&G Operator and is offereing an Offshore Project Engineer opportunity in Downtown Houston!

The Role:
Recent inspections have shown significant integrity issues with the existing mooring system (damage to wire rope and chains) and a high probability of failure.
• Project Team being established to lead planning and execution of a short term and long term solution.
• Schedule driven project due to high financial risk

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Support Project Manager in leading evaluation team during concept definition of the project (long term) and executing short term solution
• Coordinate, develop or actively participate in development of the project deliverables throughout concept definition and FEED, including but not limited to:
• Preliminary project technical plan, including concept selection, brownfield verifications, project risk assessment, constructability review, issues identification workshop, lessons learned workshop, cost and schedule estimating basis and FEED planning
• Preliminary execution plan including early project plan workshop, purchasing and contracting plan, work breakdown structure, construction plan, organization plan, interface coordination, funding plan and regulatory compliance plan
• Coordinate the project development, funding requirements, detailed design, contracting, procurement of materials; fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning activities. The position will have direc

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• 15+ years project engineering experience in upstream oil and gas sector
• Broad background in offshore projects, including brownfield upgrades. FPSOs and subsea pipelines. Background with FPSOs Mooring systems is also valuable
• Strong interpersonal skills/ ability to work within a multi-disciplined/multi-cultural team
• Able to create deliverables such as plans, documents, spreadsheets, etc, as well as manage the work of the rest of the project team
• Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong ownership of work responsibilities/ willingness to propose initiatives and solutions
• Competence in using IT applications including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.
