The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
D7a Programme management - project planner. Reporting to commodity/project managers on D7a. Key responsibilities include the management of issues, specification and configuration, driving issue resolution and tracking of the correct geometry in conjunction with cost reduction activities in support of virtual series. The facilitation and progression of prototype and production releases (S, T and P releases) and tracking of specification/configuration integrity and component maturity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Project Planning and Control skills are essential. Full Driving Licence.
Experience of engineeing components and product development management systems, material and production processes used in the manufacture of parts. Experience of product change systems. Knowledge of JLR Product Creation System (FPDS/GPDS) or equivalent.
HND/degree level

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good Communication, interpersonal skill, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high-pressure environment, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. An ability to assist in the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project team. An ability to evaluate the progress of quality, cost, functional and timing status.
Previous experience within core engineering, manufacturing engineering or launch experience are desireable as is a good knowledge of product development processes. Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery.
