The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The D7u Programme Management Team is responsible for leading the co-located Project Team to develop and deliver the D7u Cycle Plan projects through PCS (formerly GPDS), to exacting Quality, Cost, Weight, and Time objectives. The office is part of P3&O, and additionally reports to the Vehicle Programme Director (VPD). This CVN is recruiting for a Project Planner within the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Programme Team and the successful applicant will play a key role in the delivery and launch of the next model years. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to develop your project management skills in a dynamic, interesting and varied environment at the heart of New Programme Planning and Delivery activities. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of key parts of the Programme within the PC&D Delivery Framework. You will get opportunities to work closely with many other business functions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) Confident communicator, analytical approach to problem solving, highly computer literate
2) Project planning/scheduling knowledge incl critical path analysis.
3) Good attention to detail
4) Good organisational skills
5) Applicant needs to be self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision with the ability to motivate others to deliver to their requirements.
6) Applicant will have the ability to influence the broader team when delivering platform/vehicle line objectives and therefore leadership, interpersonal skills and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed.
7) This is a high profile role and will necessitate the ability to think both conceptually and tactically and at times question and reinforce convention dependant on the life stage of the programme/commodity concerned.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, responsibilities include:
Leading & supporting programme team members and functional representatives in the delivery of all programme activities.
Working closely with the Marketing and Sales team to ensure that the right market offering is produced to maximise customer sales and profit.
Managing and author product letters (PDLs), responses and resolving issues leading to PDL approval. Maintaining & communicating accurate programme assumptions between issues of the PDL.
Supporting the preparation for management reviews, including, Gateway, Product Committee, BPR, PIR.
Co-ordinating the weekly Programme Steering Team (PST) and driving the team in the use of i3 to manage the completion of deliverables for programme milestone approvals.
Working within a project management framework that enables the functions to deliver on time and to budget.
Supporting iPLM introduction activities across the D7u platform. Co-coordinating of team communicat
