The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The PED team is a vehicle attribute team responsible for managing the delivery of performance, economy and driveability attributes. Performance, Economy & Driveability (PED)

Attribute Engineer responsibilities are:
Conduct or support vehicle level objective benchmark testing on Company and competitor vehicles for performance, fuel economy, performance feel and driveability
Process and analyze measured test data and publish recommendations based on the findings
Support the generation of presentations, evidence data and related gateway submission packs and maintain key departmental reporting documentation
Populate and maintain e-FDVS/RMDV for delivery programmes
Liaise with key interfacing departments (e.g. CAE team, EMS calibration, Base Engines, Trans' Calibration, Vehicle Engineering, etc) as required to report status, request CAE or test work, verify sub-system level status.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A proactive approach and the ability to work both unsupervised and within team as required Good problem solving and data analysis skills using Excel, Matlab, etc
Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills
Experience or awareness of PED attribute development, track or chassis dyno vehicle testing or attribute related EMS calibration
Experience in data processing, manipulation and graphical presentation and an interest and willingness to develop these skills further
An interest and awareness of a competitive environment, particularly in relation to the PED Attributes
An HND or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrate a high level of motivation, initiative and resourcefulness in overcoming problems
The ability to work within a team and network effectively across a wide number of departments
An awareness of Product Creation Systems and Verification Tracking Systems (eFDVS and/or RMDV)
Experience with hybrid vehicles testing, attribute development, calibration, etc
Experience in emissions, CO2 or driveability related vehicle testing/assessment
