The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
- Brisbane Based
- 12 month contract
- High profile project with world leader in natural gas

The Project Engineer - Pipeline Integrity & Controls will review the Operator's contractor studies and deliverables to ensure consistency with all aspects of the project plan and standards i.e. pipeline life extension, commissioning, and integrity studies.

Based in Brisbane CBD with business trips into PNG as required, and reporting to the Project Manager, your other key responsibilities will include:

- Provide overall project engineering and construction support as needed;
- Appraise Operator’s contractors’ performance in planning and execution of the engineering, procurement, and construction with regard to safety, quality, schedule and cost;
- Coordinate the input from reviews and verification of activities from support functions such as document reviews and close out of risk assessment items;
- Communicate with the Operator and Project Team on engineering and execution activities, progress, cost, and schedule;
- Take leadership of export riser, and pipeline integrity studies, and resolve integrity issues associated with the existing pipeline, platform, and risers, as well as any further reviews of the tanker loading line and CALM buoy system; and
- Interpret the Technical Specifications in cases where it may be ambiguous or incomplete, and where necessary, seek the input from Company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

The ability to communicate effectively is essential as you will facilitate the interface among the Operator, Project Team (Commissioning, Start up and Operations) and Contractors with respect to construction and integrity issues. Participating in lessons learned reviews and providing input to close-out report section upon completion of the site work, you will also assist in stewardship transfer to the Operations group.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in a recognised engineering discipline, with strong project engineering experience. Your general knowledge across subsea and pipelines engineering and construction, project controls, and applicable codes, standards, and trade practices for pipelines, platforms, risers and buoy systems will be highly regarded.
